Start with the right question.
We define what you need to understand and the decision the assessment will support. Together, we agree on system boundaries, scope and the data required.
RESEARCH · LCA · CARBON FOOTPRINT · DATA
Through life cycle assessment, carbon footprinting and research, we help businesses understand their impacts and make decisions based on data.

Eco-Hub brings together environmental expertise, research and data-based consulting. We turn complex impacts into clear findings that support product development and organisational decisions.
From a question to a model. From a result to an explanation. From an explanation to a decision you can substantiate.
03 / FROM DATA TO DECISION
A clear objective. A traceable process.
A result you can put to work.
We define what you need to understand and the decision the assessment will support. Together, we agree on system boundaries, scope and the data required.
We combine your data with suitable sources, model the life cycle, review assumptions and assess environmental impacts.
We explain the results and compare scenarios, showing where the significant impacts occur and which changes could reduce them.
04 / EXPERIENCE IN PRACTICE
Selected examples of Dr. Damjan Krajnc’s professional work.
Assessments of shading systems, windows and waterproofing materials, covering the impacts of raw materials, production and other life cycle stages within the study scope.
Purpose: identify significant impacts and support product development.Organisational carbon footprint calculations using data on energy, operations and supply chains.
Purpose: establish a clear emissions inventory and a basis for monitoring.Environmental assessment of product groups and life cycle assessments of industrial components.
Purpose: understand how materials and processes contribute to environmental impacts.Dr. Damjan Krajnc’s personal experience, gained in collaboration with other authors and organisations. Client names are not disclosed.
05 / RESEARCH EXPERTISE
Selected areas of Dr. Damjan Krajnc’s research. Methods and publications relevant to industry, public services and the development of new solutions.
Life cycle research into production processes and products, including melamine fibres. Identifying key impacts and assessing opportunities to reduce them.
Publication on melamine fibre productionResearch into plastic flows, recycling, material substitution and scenarios to 2050, alongside conceptual work on the circular economy in ports.
Publication on plastic use scenariosDevelopment of a methodology and tool to assess the carbon footprint of Slovenian healthcare institutions, focusing on emission factors, scope 3 and the practical use of data.
Publication on emission factorsCo-authored research on the social assessment of plastic, bioplastic and paper packaging, extending the perspective from environmental impacts to social aspects of value chains.

Clear explanations for
better-informed decisions.
A carbon footprint focuses on the contribution to climate change. LCA can also cover other environmental impacts, such as resource use, acidification and eutrophication. The right approach depends on the question you need to answer.
The usefulness of a result depends on the temporal, geographical and technological relevance of the data. Traceable sources, clear assumptions and an understanding of uncertainty matter. More decimal places do not necessarily mean greater reliability.
An environmental product declaration presents LCA results under defined rules. It provides a clear way to communicate verified environmental information. Product comparisons require consistent boundaries, functions and applicable rules.
